THE RIVER OF GIVING

The River of Giving is a three dimensional mosaic installation at Coronado High School in Coronado, CA. It was completed in 2011.

This
was an all consuming project that took over 14 months to complete.
Another collaboration with the phenomenal students of Coronado High
School. This project is a recognition wall for individuals and
businesses who have donated money to the Coronado Schools Foundation
over the past 3 decades. Every single element on this mosaic is hand
made by students. One student would sculpt an animal or cactus, and others would mosaic the finished ceramic element. All of the sand, grass, and other ground coverings were rolled from clay, glazed and fired. Each donor tile was hand made as well.
